Hey folk’s… It’s me! Posted some pictures of the (rented for now) homestead out here in Kansas. I would say the “Great Plains” but that is further west, more towards Colorado. As you will see, it is a little 3 bedroom cape cod with 18 acres of land. There are quite a few farms out here (as if you didn’t know that)! There is also a picture of my good friend Mike DeRobertis, taken at the Oz Museum. Mike helped Paige and I in our move to Kansas. He drove the U-Haul which was towing the Mercedes for us. On the weekends, Paige and I go house (farm) hunting, or we head down to Wichita for a hockey game or Topeka to shop. We did look at a commercial building for sale. A great big brick building built circa 1905 in great condition. It has a store front on the street level and 4 apartments upstairs. A great place for a coffee house/open mic spot. Our favorite dinner spot is “Toto’s Taco’s” in Wamego! For breakfast, another fave is “Stacy’s”. It’s a little place where mostly the farmers from the area go. Who would have thought I’d fit right in.. ha, ha, ha. Everything here is great! Believe me when I say this, it’s very pretty here in Junction City. It is in an area that is called the Flint Hills. Not quite sure how high a hill has to be to be considered a mountain, but the hills here are pretty high. This April, my daughter Nicole and my nephew Andrew will come for a visit during their spring break. Then Nicole wants to come back in Aug and enroll in school here. School here runs from Aug. to May. Prior to moving here, it was decided that she finish her school year back in NY, rather than in the middle out here. I’ll keep in touch often, and give you up dates about out here, you know tornado’s and dust bowls etc. So, click the photos link at the top of my page and check out the first Kansas pictures... As always, I remain…. “Little” Bobby Barton
